In case dancing and food weren’t enough to bring people together, there was also a play area for the kids-complete with foam building blocksthat were also kind of fun for us adults, too. I quickly learned that the BBQ was hardly about the food, though-people from all over Ottawa came together to connect, and some brave souls (I’m looking at you, Karen!) also danced together to the sound of De Jazz Guys.
